
TACTICAL WORLD CUP 2008 WELCOME STATEMENT
Welcome,
The Tactical World Cup 2008 competition is being held during the week of 18 to 23 October 2008 at the United States Army facility
The Tactical World Cup 2008 is open to civilian and military law enforcement teams from around the world. The competition is specifically designed to test the physical, mental and marksman ship abilities in both individual and team SWAT skill sets. The competition incorporates skill sets included with barricade suspect, hostage rescue, felony vehicle stop, sniper related missions, felony warrant service, active shooter and counter-terrorism activities to note a few.
Tactical World Cup 2008 competition will be hosting on-site Law Enforcement credentialed courses including armors courses, explosive breaching safety, and an active shooters planning course. Additionally each attendee will be able to interface with the supporting sponsors and vendors as well as attend the private “Vendor Interface” meetings to learn more on that specific vendor’s product line.
The Tactical World Cup 2008 will be divided into two (2) skill set categories, which are Level 1: Full time teams and Level 2: part time teams. Teams will be graded and scored according to their appropriate skill set category. The purpose behind the division is to provide participating teams a fair and equal competition against their peers. Each team, regardless of their competition category, will run the course as set without modification of the course. The competition events are outlined in the Competition Schedule and are broken down into the Tasks, Conditions and Standards for each event.
