Reality Based Tactical Scenarios • Training Certification • State of the art MOUT facility with recording capability
Force on Force • 2 day Vendor Show Nov. 2 – 3 • Sniper Competition
The Original SWAT Tactical World Cup 2009 is open to Local, State, and Federal law enforcement teams, as well as Military Special Operations /Counter-Terrorist Teams, from around the world. The competition is specifically designed to test the abilities of both individuals and teams on their tactical skill sets based on real world scenarios. This is not a sports-based competition, it is reality-based. Expected scenarios include common call situations as well as more recent terrorist situations: barricaded suspect, hostage rescue, felony vehicle stop, sniper related missions, felony warrant service, active shooter and counter-terrorism missions. The competition will culminate in a force-on-force exercise.
In addition to the competition, certification courses will be available and presented by our Sponsors.Team fees are only $300. However, we are giving team sponsors a free vendor table and hope this incentive helps to offset all of our competitors’ fees. If your team is working with a potential sponsor, please have them contact Lance Bertolino at 713.805.7145, or see the sponsor/vendor page for a downloadable form.
We are expecting a very large turnout for the Competition, Vendor Show and Product Demonstrations. San Antonio is home to thousands of military personnel from Fort Sam Houston, Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, and, of course, Camp Bullis. Hundreds of law enforcement and correctional officers also claim San Antonio and the surrounding area home. All are encouraged to attend - admission is free.CLICK HERE for more information on these military bases.
The Tactical World Cup 2009 is divided into two (2) divisions:
Division 1: Full time teams: This includes LE, Military and International teams. Division 2: Part time teams
The purpose behind this division is to provide participating teams a fair and equal competition against their peers. Each team, regardless of their competition category, will run the course as set, without modification of the course. The competition events are outlined in the Competition Schedule and are broken down into the Tasks, Conditions and Standards for each event.Original S.W.A.T. and Operators Edge, LLC selected The Stars and Stripes Foundation as the beneficiary of their charitable contribution.
